I know some of you through deals for parts sales and some of you from the trails. I'm reaching out to my friends, OHV connections, and my fire department family to locate a suitable foster situation for my two dogs. I know from reading threads over the years that many of you are dog lovers too.
I recently sold my house in SC rather unexpectedly (it sold before I even got it on the market and they wanted a quick closing but flexible enough to give me a couple of months to get my shop empty). My plan is to find a house in CO but still be in SC/NC regularly. Currently I'm in CO regularly but my place was in SC.
Over Thanksgiving I found a friend in Raleigh to foster my dogs until I could get a place in CO. Last week his brother called in a family favor. The brother's wife is having a baby and their two dogs have been not getting along. So, my friend is taking the brother's dog but my friend doesn't trust the brother's dog to get along with my two.
My dogs are Duke, male, neutered, Italian boxer about 6 and Clover, female, spade, Yellow Lab about 7. They both began living with me because their situations were less than perfect. I called them "foster dogs" for a long time but after several years its safe to say I'm not looking to give them away. Both LOVE people, are house broken but lived outside for a while with a heated house and a fenced yard. They get along well with other dogs. I would often take them for a run or walk at Furman University and they rarely showed much interest in other dogs.
I will cover expenses and provide any support possible to make the situation right for them and the foster person/family. I could bring the dogs to meet you and I would of course like to meet you and see the situation they'll be living in.
If you think you may be willing to help me out for a couple of months, shoot me a PM, email, text, or call. If you know anyone who may be willing to help pass this along to them.
