I just got finished building a "hybrid" AOD/4r70w transmission
Bascially its a non electronic 4r70w
Why you ask?
Well the AOD and 4r70w are very similar except one is electronic and the 4r70w has a wider gearset(lower first higher forth) and it has a much stronger mechanical diode
So i put the two together into a non electronic AOD case and now i need to find someone with an AOD in their car/truck whatever so i can swap it in and see if it works, i'll pay you or fix something if you want. Hey if you like the trans i'll just leave it in there and we can talk a good price
I built it for my mustang but i'm quite aways away from getting the V8 in there, i just want to see if the transmission works
So if you have a pre1993 v8 mustang or a bronco or crown vic with an AOD transmission give me a call or PM and we can talk
