Anyone work for Cree?

I applied with them last week and heard back from them yesterday. They've asked me to do a first round screening type process.

Just wondering if anyone on here works at the Durham location that I could talk to about the company.
 
FWIW, Cree was growing like mad before the stimulus. LEDs are huge now, not just because they are green, but just because how great they are for all kinds of lighting, and they last forever.

I love LEDs. They may have gotten some business from the stimulus, but they would have hired those people anyway.

Maybe Biden can get some of the Cat employees jobs at Cree. :lol:
 
Have you tried finding someone through linkedin? It's a good way to get that sort of conversation. (All I know is they're a .net shop for their web stuff, so I'm not likely to go that route).

I have a friend that has worked there for about 10 years. He says it isn't an "easy" place to work. They pay well, but expect a lot back from you. I guess just like any where else. The company is run by scientists not business people. That can be frustrating at time for my friend. Good luck though.

I'm guessing your friend isn't a scientist, lol.
My job would be soooo much better (like, I could actually get science done) if this place were run like that.
