Anyone work on welders/plasma cutters

We have this plasma cutter at the shop and it turns on, can maybe get a pass if lucky, otherwise you hear "transformer"??? Clicking when u pull trigger and that's it. I've blown it out with a gun but beyond that don't know. Told Bud I'd see here if anyone works on them within Hickory/Hudson area. Thank you.

Shoots air fine, when it does/did work, worked great on 5/16 stuff but only worked for like a minute. Has new trigger and all new consumables.

Dinosaur. Most likely cannot get parts for it. Call Praxair out of Charlotte. They have a guy who services your area. Damn sight better than any other company for repair work.

Do u have any "ball park" idea of problem..costly? Fixable? Thank you sir

I wonder if the thermal limit switch died? If you're not familiar with power circuits, I'd leave everything under the cover to someone trained.

That's what we were thinking but after finding out from previous statement its that old with hard to find parts, he probably won't spend money to fix it.
So probably not worth any kind of $ lol, right
