This years Uwharrie OHV Jamboree is changing in a positive way. We are becoming more of a 4WD event and less of a ATV/Side by Side/Dirt Bike event. We have seen it coming for about a year now. Fewer and fewer people showing up to check out the ATVs, Side by Sides and Dirt Bikes. Plus we have never had one ATV/Dirt Bike/Side by Side club participate, however; we will still have ATV/Side by Side/Dirt Bike dealers but on a much smaller scale.

Why?

  1. All this, bottom line, to help keep the USFS trails at Uwharrie open. The 4WD clubs are the ones that volunteer their time and money to keep the USFS trails open at Uwharrie. They are the ones adopting the trails through the 'Adopt-a-Trail Program'.
  2. To continue to grow this Jamboree and make it bigger and better every year!
  3. The 4WD Clubs are the ones getting the word out about 'TREAD Lightly!'
  4. Keeping the patron admission price FREE, Camping to volunteers, dealers, vendors and clubs-FREE- Keep as much FREE as possible!
  5. Due to Uwharrie becoming more of a 4WD only trail system and area!
The positive changes we are making:
  • Bringing in more 4WD clubs and giving them more designated areas to meet, gather and do there thing -FREE-
  • Add truck with trailer parking for the 4WD rigs so they will be right there on-site and not have to park somewhere else
  • Bringing back the FREE 'Swap Meet' so the 4WD clubs can participate and raise money
  • Bring in and give more: fund raising opportunities to the 4WD clubs
  • Expand and improve the camping opportunities on-site, so the 4WD clubs won't have to leave and more can camp. Our camping was pretty full last year!

Because of the added need for truck with trailer parking and going from 9 dealer spots to 4, we have increased our pricing on the dealers and title sponsor to make up the difference. Our Title sponsorship has increased by $1,000 to $2,000 and our Dealer spots have increased $100 to $400. We are pleased to announce, if you don't know already, Hendrick Jeep of Fayetteville is our new Title Sponsor. Thank you Hendrick Jeep!

Please excuse my ignorance but this is my first year attending the jamboree and I'm bringing several rigs and Ppl from about 2 hrs away. Is the park open Friday evening to set up camp? Unsure of the hrs and availability. Any info would help. Thanks.
