Are 2.5 ton Rockwells street legal in NC???

Plan on running front hub disc brakes and disc brakes in the rear.....I know these axles are very wide like 86.5" plus the width of your tires, any info would be great

Yep. Why wouldn't they be? Use a rim with a lot of backspacing to keep the width to a minimum and keep the tire under or near the truck. Max trailer width is 102", so I'd assume they don't really want anything over 102".
