Im looking for anyone from Ashboro, I need some info on the city and the area, whats the town realy like to live in, how are the house/rent prices, utilities, schools etc... im thinking about moving and trying to get a job with the city.

If you dont want to dog it out in public PM or if you have good info.

Thanks

I live there.. Its the biggest little town in the state. Rent is cheaper than tge big towns. Walmart is the big deal in toen and we are big time now that we have a tractor supply!

I like it but i am a little older now. I moved away the day i turned 18. We use to say the side walks rolled up at 9 pm. I love it now but like the simpler life now also....

Well I like the simple life and have two small girls, just want a better place for them to grow up and to get out of the bs. You dont happen to know any of the PD guys?

I live close and like asheboro it's got everything I ever need

I grew up about 30 mins south of Asheboro and moved when I was 18 (school, work, etc.). I was just visiting my parents over the weekend and wished I now lived in Asheboro. Snappy talking about Walmart and Trator Supply. I remember when Walmart was at the Hobby Lobby building and the area where Walmart and Trator Supply is now was woods and had a couple of single wides at the road. Heck I remember when Lowes hardware was on the other side of town and was extremely small. Asheboro has grown a lot but it's good growth.

All in all, I've always liked Asheboro but now that I'm older, I wish I could move back with my family.

I live in Troy now. Been to Asheboro a few times, doesn't seem too bad. The downtown is quite nice. It's small enough to still feel small, but large enough to have all the amenities you'll need.

The area around here is actually pretty cool. You'll be less than an hour from Uwharrie and Greensboro. Raleigh is only like an hour and a half, same for Charlotte. Its about 3 hours to Myrtle Beach, Wilmington and Asheville, and only 2 hours to Boone. All easily within the realm of a day trip. The Pinehurst/Southern Pines/Aberdeen area is kind of cool too, lots to do down there.

Yep, I left good ol Asheboro for 6 years (being in the military) and was ready to get back home! Its a good place to be

I remember all that too. My grandfather owned a garage behind the mall. Alot has changed but stayed the same if that makes sense..

Stay away from north asheboro unless your spanish is good. My siater is a 911 operator so she/i could get you what you want to know about the pd...
