As much as of a PITA she and the group was, I don’t think it warranted the aggressiveness displayed by that dude.

I mean really, if you had an 11 year old girl running at you at home, are you going to knock her out? WTF? If it was my daughter, I’d be one pissed mofo if a 50yo punched and knocked out my 11 year old in this situation. (I may do the same for her shitty behavior once she woke up...). But, as a father, watch the fawk out.

Now it seems that he is muddying the waters a bit claiming he has PTSD that was brought on by seeing the gang of girls. This makes it sound like he's reaching for an "excuse" seeking sympathy. The first report I had heard was that they were blocking the exit so that they could harass his wife and daughter. If he changes the narrative now, it seems fishy.
 
Just to stir the pot a little, you are authorized use of lethal force to protect your life or the life of another or against serious bodily harm. What if the person originally getting harassed by this “gang” could have been in jeopardy of serious bodily harm?

Gang mentality says yes. 15 12yo can beat 1 12yo to death.

Old dude steps in and stops the situation. Possibly protecting someone from serious bodily harm.

If your wife, girl etcetera feel threatened by them man up, give them shelter and exit. This guy just let bullshit cause him a lot of grief. He had no blocked exit or reason to feel in danger. Him stalling and hanging around irks of a desired confrontation.

I just saw a pussy stroke his ego.
 
He did not need to punch her, he could have put his foot up and blocked her rush/ then SHE ran into HIS foot, or turned and shucked her right on past him..........when I was a kid I was was taught to respect elders and I still do. I imagine about none of the gangbangers have any respect for elders or anyone else and their parents are about as/OR more stupid than their kids are.

I keep hearing that come up; that his wife and daughter were behind him. That would definitely give him a reason to stay. But that also conflicts with the story of escorting whatever lady was getting harassed out of the mall.

At the moment, it appears that he likely didn't need to do what he did, even though he was provoked and surrounded by a gang that was aligned against him. Doesn't matter that they were female, because I think we can waive the "never strike a female" and "she was just a child" in this situation, based on the gang behavior. No one there was a subordinate victim to him because of their gender or because of their age; they gave that up with the way they acted as an aggressive pack.
He probably overreacted, and they were apparently really itching to provoke something while likely thinking there would be no consequences.

It's always easy to say what should have happened after the fact, but it's hard to assign actual cause until the full picture comes out. I would love to know what I would do in that situation, because I know I don't have any clue until it happens.

We can can armchair-quarterback this shit to death from the limited vantage point of video clips on social media.
 
Should have the guy hit the girl? No
Should people rush to judge either side of the problem based on the video. No
Should the parents of these kids be held accountable for the fact that they, based on the limited evidence shown, instigated a fight with someone who can do what he did to them. YES

Every single person present in that video is at fault for being involved.
 
I agree the video doesn’t show what’s leading up to this and if he was protecting his wife and daughter, I’d have smashed every person in my path for my family regardless of gender,age,race! So I’m saying this is a big ass mess he possibly could have avoided, but for all I know this whole group could have followed them out then started in which puts a man in a corner. It’s shitty how kids are these days tho, parents need to get punched like he punched that kid for not teaching respect!! Would suck to be in that situation if he was truly protecting his family bc it could have ended a lot worse for her if he pulled a pistol out and started opening fire...
 
Didn't watch the video but my first thought was that girls/women now a days want the same treatment as men,well sounds like she got it.JS.Ill be back.
 
Went back and watched the vid,Dude should have walked on by and let things play out as they may.I cant stand that loud ass jive bullshit that always accompanies such groups.BUT Shameekwa should'nt came at him like that.I bet she wont do it again so maybe something positive came of it.I think things like the me too movement have allowed girls/women to believe they can hit/strike men w no concequences??? Dude is screwed I'm afraid.
 
Just saw on the news that multiple parents of the girls have pressed charges. They said the video started after he had pushed several girls. He may be going down for this one, he should have removed himself instead of letting them drag him in. Definitely a no win situation.
 
At 12 I wouldn't have been allowed to do anything other than play outside without supervision

My familys protection comes first in that scenario which I wasn’t aware was that case, so I guess there is a single exception...thanks for clearing that up tho!!!!
 
The kids were circling .... he had been pushed more than once before she pushed him and he pushed her.
Can't say my reaction wouldn't have been the same with her rushing at me like that.

ALL of the on-line video has been conveniently edited to start just as he acted.

I'm sure there's a lot more to the story than what we see.
 
A whole lot of bad....IF family was threatened, then I would have laid waste to anyone or anything in the path of getting them out of the situation.

If this went on for several minutes, security should have been there to "break up" the situation.

Young girl was foolish to charge a 6'5", 250 man w/ hands up in attack-mode - valuable lesson learned.

Guy committed & stopped the aggressor charging him - but he will lose in a court scenario, I'm afraid. A little heavy handed, pun intended....
