I've been thinking of switching my providers, but wasn't expecting the knock on the door, this evening. Salesman from AT&T, explaining how I could Save money by bundling with them. I have their U-verse internet, at the Low speed. And my promotion just expired, so Up goes the price! I've been a Dish customer for over 7 years, because I got Tired of switching. Get Promos from them too. But paying $75 / month, for the 200 package. Internet was 37, but going to 45. We did discuss cell service, which I have with Verizon, for $77 a month. But for the time being, that won't change. If I Do add it to the Bundle, I'd get another discount. I need to explore AT&Ts cost. He didn't write anything at this time, & Really No pressure. Claims it will save me some money, give me more options, using Direct TV & U-verse, + they have Up grades coming in the next couple years. Heard that one before! Best savings, would be to include cell service. I need to double check with Dish, & see if I'm under contract or not. That was tied to my last Promo. I only have 1 cell phone [no land line], 1 internet line, & 2 TVs. Your Opinions?

Depends on your location for the internet speeds that you can get. Dtv is a good product and cellphone coverage is good around here but be sure to look at their coverage maps for the areas that you are in. Let me know if you want to pull the trigger on it and I can help you out with it.

I have had that bundle for about 6 years now. Sure the internet is slow sometimes. Its not horrible though. I have one HD reveiver (no dvr or anything fancy), and one standerd receiver. The next to lowest TV package (i think). My bill is $60 or $70 a month(will verify later). We called recently called to maybe upgrade the internet. The lady told us that we are basically getting free TV. If we upgraded the internet our bill would double. I said no thanks. I have no idea if what i am paying is a good deal or if it helps you. Good luck.

Currently AT&T has the ability to make deals that other vendors would have a challenge with. Not saying they are, but they can. Now that they own DTV & TWB they have cost control across the entire network vs other vendors trying to partner together.

They seem to be giving the big deals based around wireless accounts. From what I have seen in my travels AT&T & Tmobile's coverage is close to that of VZ, but it all depends on the specifics of your location. Tower/antenna placement can change coverage just enough to be a pain in small areas. If your home/work happen to be in the right spot, it sucks.
