Anybody running or know anybody running the universal cable shifters on their atlas? Looking for experiences/reviews good or bad. I don't think I can use their standard 'hard-linkage' universal shifter since with my 6'6" frame, I think the standard shifters would be under my knees and there is not enough room for that! I had problems in the beginning with my NWF cable shifters on my flipped d300 until I was upgraded to their HD cable and just wondering how the atlas cables hold up.

TIA,
Brandon

The Atlas cables are extremely HD. So much so they are a pain to install because of the stiffness of the cable assy!

Good to know! I'd like to get the shifters behind the transfercase since that's where I cut the current hole in my trans tunnel. If the cables are that stiff, I may not be able to bend them enough to use the existing hole and I'd like to keep the floor from looking like swiss cheese. I've emailed the guys at AA and they can't make a custom one that shifts from of the rear of the case (which would work perfectly)...guess its back to the drawing board!

I am running two of their cable shifter mechanisms. As ol' said, they are a little stiff and a bit of trouble to get installed but once that was done they have worked great! I was very leery of cable shifters from stuff I had heard from other wheelers but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them now.
