I was using crazedlist to search for things in multiple areas at once. Apparently craigslist made some changes and crazedlist isn't working. anyone have a good (user friendly) alternative? i've tried a few, but most have a bunch of ads/crap on them and aren't very good.

x2...if you're searching for cars, use autotempest.com. It searches other websites too (craigslist, cars.com, auto trader, etc.).
 
May not be as city specific as you want, but Google can search using the "site:" keyword, for example:

"pelican case" site:craigslist.org

hits all the cl sites. I prefer to find more with Google and pick and choose myself.

Oh, the CL iPhone app allows searching across cities too - better than their websites for sure.
 
Searchtempest was awesome before they had to change it. I hope they can return it to how it was before.
