Dear Volunteers,
First of all, let me say thank you for volunteering your time and energy to help make the first annual Uwharrie 4x4cross a fun, successful event.
Our first meeting will be a Eldorado Outpost, Saturday morning April 12th. Around 9;30am, OR jus after the CTB meeting, that starts @9am
I hope to get a few things accomplished at this initial meeting. The main thing is for me to find my Group Managers. I have already spoken with a few of you regarding this. The next thing is simply to meet all of you, and go over a few details regarding your duties.
I am aware that all vols.. will not be able to attend this meeting, and thats ok.. As long as we have several folks that know what is happening, they can help guide the others during the race weekend.
After a brief meeting, we will hit the trail(Rocky Mt. Loop) Most of the race logistics will be decided then, while on the trail.
I am looking foward to meeting with all of you and ironing out the details of what I’m sure to be a great event.
Please let me know if you plan to attend this meeting. Either by e-mail or phone.336-413-0720

Thank you and remember..There is nothing stronger than a volunteer!

I did send out a lot of e-mails, alot were lost when I deleted them while trying to clean out old pm's.
Just thought I would post this up on here...it's the e-mail I sent out.

I do still have all the e-mails from dylan@americanwheeler , The ones I lost were on from this sight.....my luck!

We are also going to need a few quads(4 wheelers) This will be the fun jobs.

We are going to send a quad along with the race vehicle to act as an escort. The quad will be able to report accidents or anyother info needed, in real time. The quads will stay a slight distance behind the racer and have direct contact with the starting line etc..
The quads are not to be noticed by the racers, staying far enough behind them so as not to even be seen in the rearview mirror. They are only there in case something happens, between checkpoints. Obviously, I want experienced riders with dependable quads..or sidebysides, like the mules. Please pm if interested in this fun, important job.
