(not for me!) Looking for a reference for somebody...
for a lawyer in the Ashville area... preferably specializing in small drug/alcohol posession... by a minor... although issue was outside Boone, aparently on the Parkway making it Fed circuit, Ashville is the local one?

yup..guy i know got busted at URE had to go to asheville. i think all he got was community service.
 
He will be going to Asheville. Federal court has more important things to worry about than small drug/alcohol charges by a minor. He will get a fine and maybe some community service. :lol:
 
Most any attorney can handle this. Deferred Prosecution - he pays fine, does community service, and can get the charge exponged from his record upon completion, so long as it's his first offense. At least that's how it worked a dozen (or so) years ago.

The charge actually doesnt show up on a record for most purposes, at least it didnt for my friend when his apartment complex ran his record to see if they wanted him to live there (they dont allow felons to live there or something).

Deferred Prosecution can also be done on your own, no need for a lawyer. You go to the DA (almost always his/her secretary), the DA signs the paperwork, and your done.
