anyone have any experience with these? i was thinking about running one in front on a d44 with 37's. i may have found a good price on one and was curious if anyone has any opinion bout them. cant seem to find much info about them other than on auburn's website

This will be a useless post: I bought one for mine and have not installed it yet. Word is that they are pretty durable, although they do rely on a friction clutch to "lock", it is not like an ARB or an OX with actual dog-clutch teeth engaging to lock it up. I plan on running 35s when I SAS my Frontier so I won't be stressing it quite as much as you plan to.

i put one in the rear of my yj(ford 8.8) with 33s and it only lasted about half a day of wheeling at full lock and then acted like a worn out ls the rest of the day. i sent it back to auburn and they rebuilt it and i did not reinstall it, it went on fleabay. i also ran into a lady last year at ure that had the same story. she said that she had went through 4 of em. they kept sending her rebuilt ones, she was pissed.

i have heard that when it is locked it slides the side gear towards center in doing so it rides on the outer edge of the axle splines thus causing stripped shafts. A great idea in theory they have but seems it has issues. I would run an OX or the Eaton electric locker seems to have better success, but the price is up there on both.

Sounds like a friend of Lomod's... she went through so many, she had stickers cut for the side of her Jeep... "Ected SUCKS!"

I've heard the same from everyone that's ever run one
