[Aug 31, 2013] Charlotte Jeep Wrangler Meet & Greet 8/31 (Charlotte, NC)

HAHA why in tha hood? Im in if my junk is up and running by then. Kinda doubt it though.
 
It is a little strange to have a jeep meet in the hood....

Haven't been out there in years... Used to be a good place for some 2 wheel street racing back in the day...
 
I remember street racing there in the early '90's when it was Asbury avenue before the cut-through to I77 and name change. cars used to gather up in our parking lot (way after hours) before we fenced it in.
yeah, it's in the hood - but the charlotte municipal maintenance shop is right across the street (lots of police car comings/goings just never know if it's a cop or a mechanic).
 
5-6 wranglers, 1 xj - 3 more days. :)

I think the plan will be to meet, hang out a bit and cruise somewhere for some lunch.

in the Atando Industrial Park about 1 mile from I77.

if you're heading SOUTH on I77, take exit 12 "LaSalle St" and make a LEFT - it turns into Atando and it's about 1 mile up on the left.
if you're heading NORTH on I77, take exit 12 "LaSalle St" and make a RIGHT - it turns into Atando and it's about 1 mile up on the left.

Between here and the wranglerforum there's now at least a dozen vehicles coming.
That'll make for a good group shot. :D
 
Everybody who's coming - try to be there at 10:00. I'm going to direct everybody where to park as they come in so all the vehicles will be lined up for a group pic(s).
Weather looks good so far (chance of isolated tstorms = normal) and this is RAIN OR SHINE! There's plenty of warehouse space with several bay doors to hang out in if some rain passes through.

My Check engine light came came on this morning on my way to work. I looked under the hood to check and my engine is still there so I'm good to go.....:rockon:

Well the Meet & Greet is now history - But it was Awesome!!!

19 Wranglers, an XJ, and ALOT of GREAT PEOPLE!!!

I want to thank everybody for coming out today and participating. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of you and look forward to future get-togethers. Next we'll get a wheeling trip planned, I'll start a thread.
