Hey guys,
I need some help. I do not know much about automatic chokes. Every jeep I have ever had, I had manual chokes. I just had my 304 motor rebuilt, and had a rebuilt motorcraft carb put on as well. I have only driven it 150 miles. The jeep idles VERY high when I first crank it. It finally drops down to a mid-high idle after a few minutes to where I feel like it should be idling from the start. Eventually it drops down to a normal idle speed. The problem is it only stays there for a few minutes. After that, it bounces back up to the mid-high idle range and stays there the whole time. Is my automatic choke sticking or does it just need adjusting?
