I would like to have a horn that sounds for 3 seconds every 10 minutes?

I am a football coach and we went to a camp and they had a guy that would blow a horn every 10 minutes. I was really useful to help keep the pace of practice up and keep things on time.

I was thinking that an electic horn from a car would work, although an air horn would be cooler. I'm looking something that could either be run on like a 12V Gel Cell battery that I could recharge at night or something that would just plug into a standard 120V socket. I doesn't need to tell time or anything just sound a horn at 10min intravels. I'm no mcgyver so I don't know exactly how to figure it out.

ohh, we don't have a guy that can just blow an air horn.

An electric horn would be easier, because you won't need a source for compressed air like you would with an air horn.

It wouldn't be hard to set up, but it's hard to explain it to you how it would work. The hardest part would be finding the timer(s) you'll need.

well, the scoreboard does have a timer, but it is on the game field and we are on the practice field. So, no help there. Freshman and timer aren't very reliable. I was just hoping for something that would fit the bill. I have searched but I can't seem to find a timer that would automatically reset it self after going to zero.

Here is a good one. but a contact on face clock every ten minutes when the minute hand reached the mark it would make contact and set of the electric horn. But, how do you make the horn just work for a short blast and not the entire minute?

Please enlighten us on YOUR football career... cause I don't remember any horn drills in the marching band! Flag corps maybe? :flipoff2:

He was the Freshman with the stopwatch.
