Average Cost of Window Tinting

I want to get my windows re tinted. I did them about 2 years ago and they look horrible now....What is the average cost for all windows down on an XJ?

Thinking about going to sound solutions, but before I go, I'd like to have an idea on what it going to cost, so i can talk them down.
 
No idea but let me know where you go and what it cost. I'm wanting to do my trucks windows darker.
 
I've had every vehicle I've owned tinted by the same guy. Sent lots of friends there too. I've never paid more than $120

He gives me a lifetime warranty on discoloring (probably because he knows I won't keep the car long)

Before you jew him down, remember you get what you pay for.

My favorite is 20%
 
Well the place I go to alot for my audio stuff is sound solutions and I can always talk them down in price....so I was thinking if they charged 175 for install for 20% all the way around....I could say, all i have is 150 and see if they will do it for that...usually they will if its labor thats trying to be negotiated.

they do good work though. I hear to make sure that its 3m?
 
The thing to remember about tint. Never wash it with regular glass cleaner that has ammonia in it. That is what discolors your tint.
 
Don't hold yourself only to 3M, reputable installers use other brands too. I think I've seen Oracle on some of the tubes at the fellow I use. It's always done well in my vehicles, no scratches or fading.

x2 on the ammonia, use a vinegar based cleaner.
