Got question about my 8 month old aw4 with about 8,000 miles on it. It started shifting really weird. The 2-3 shift is really quick and when it hits OD it just kinda loses power. You floor it, it sometimes has hesitation before it kicks down and other times it won't kick down at all. What could it be? Any ideas. I know it is computer controlled but I'm not getting any codes for a problem. It's full of fluid and isn't burnt. I do have an additional cooler on it and with the cooler weather it's not getting up to the normal temps I'm used to seeing. Should I take the cooler out for cool weather. Would that have something to do with it?

what do you mean by you know its not getting to temp? got a tranny temp guage or going by engine temp? throw a piece of cardboard in front of the grill w/ masking tape if you think its too cold.. if it fixes it.. well i guess you could put a piece of sheet metal or canvas behind the grille..

Yeah I have tranny temp gauge. It normally runs 180 to 210 but it ain't getting up to around 150 / 175 in the cooler weather. I'll try putting something over the cooler to see if it helps.

mine does the same thing. i just run it in 3rd unless on the interstate.
