I have used the Wagner severe duty pads on both of my tow vehicles now. (02 Tahoe & 96 F350) I have nothing but good things to say about them, especialy for towing applications. You can get them at Advance Auto Parts. I bet both rigs stop 10 to 20 percent shorter in a panic stop situation now. Noticably better fade resistance in the mountians. Bound to help a big tire, under braked trail rig stop better.
2 Thumbs up!

The Dodge has Wagners in the front and Carquest in the back. Both severe duty (aka "cop brakes"). Not sure who makes CQ's pads... it would have gotten them fr/rr, but CQ isn't open on Sunday.

Yeah, I think the Garner and Millbrook stores just started Sunday hours recently.

The severe duty pads from AutoZone work great. They are actually reboxed performance friction pads which is who makes them for the police vehicles. You also cant beat the warranty. Anytime I have to pull the tires off the truck I just swap the pads. It doesnt cost anything so why not.

^ The warranty is not SUPPOSED to work like that, but if they do it, go for it...

I work there and we warranty them that way for people all the time. As long as the wear is even we will swap them.

nah lifetime pads have a lifetime warranty against wear, but they are only SUPPOSED to be replaced 1 time under warranty, thats what Earl is getting at.

BTW PErformance Friction are crap they are made in Clover,SC . Nothing good comes out of Clover,SC. Well there was that girl I knew in hig school...nah nothing good comes out of clover.

Ive had great luck out of them. The police seem to like them a lot. A lot of pro super bikes are also running performance friction pads now. Seems like a decent product to me.

As for the warranty, some of our competitors are a one swap in a lifetime warranty. Autozone warrantys pads for life to the original purchaser as long as there worn evenly.
