here is a BETTER WAY to EXPLAIN IT. 1990 Jeep cherokee xj black with a 3 inch lift and crager wheels. my axels are leaking out cream color grease on each side of the axels.

pull the shafts and cover and clean them out. unlerss you can find a 96.5+ c8.25 with the 29 spline shafts. ( easy upgrade just make sure gearing is same)

i forgot to say it is my front axels are my axels dana 35's front and back

No all xj's have dana 30's up front and either a 29 or 27 spline 8.25 , dana 35 or a rare dana 44 rear. Up front it sounds like your axle seals are worn out. Not to big of a deal to replace. I would recommend putting on aftermarket seals that go on the end of the axle tube to keep mud from getting in there after you fix the seal. You can get them for 50-80 bucks. Small investment for not messing up your gears by getting mud and water in your oil.
