Hey I tired to search but ID and tag were to short and I got a million things for Axle. This is off my ford 9" and just curious as to what it means, it reads

WDN-BM4 6HD
2. 75 9 352A

That period might be an imprint or it might been stamped in with the numbers, I cant tell.
If anyone can decifer have at it and lemme know what it means

i couldnt find your axle code in any charts... that pic might help you identify different parts of the code and what they mean though to give you a rough idea... best bet is to pull the third member and see what you have

actually... i found it... google is your friend

WDN-B: 63-71 F100 3.50 non-locked 28 spline

the period you see is a common indent from what i can tell from my quick reading as many have it but ford "never" put it on there (according to the intraweb :))

hope this helps :flipoff2:

edit: here's the link where i found the info... it has a HUGE ford 9" id chart :D http://www.fordification.com/rearends-ford2.htm

the pic posted was from another page... either could be correct i guess... i dont know which one is right... pull the third :)

but my axle is a 31 spline though..? Fullwidth big bearing it came out of an 80 something ford f150

from that website

NOTE: The codes listed on these pages only go up through 1971.

Mines an 80 something, thats why it says 28 spline when mine is a 31 bb fullwidth
