Looks like a 6 lug closed knuckle D44 front and maybe a D60 rear. Probably from a 50s or 60s International, but I dont know much on those.

Looks like a Dana 44 closed knuckle. Could be a 60 closed knuckle too. Can you make out any of the numbers on it? If it's a Dana it will have the BOM number stamped in the tube.

I agree they look like dana axles. The old Kaiser Jeep trucks were 6 lug, and I remember some discussion in a thread about those things on the hubs being used as tie down or lifting points for military, maybe it was @kaiser715 that shared some literature about it?

closed knuckle boat anchors

My first thought is M715 axles. Closed knuckle 60 front and a 70 rear with something like 5.86 gears. Basically boat anchors or scrap metal. The tubes on them are tiny.

EDIT: Yep, that's exactly what they are. Notice that the front axle is setup for spring under.

Yep, they are M715 axles. 60 front, 70 rear. Front is supposedly about the same strength as a D44. 5.87 gear ratio.

Used to be a market for them with the mud bogger trucks. I see them for sale (not *sold*) for $500 on occasion....IMO not worth that.

Couple of parts have more value to the restoration guys...drums and shoes (if they still have life on them).

The brackets on the ends of the axles were used for lifting. There is a video online somewhere of one being slung onto a cargo ship.

Also the "Quirks" manual for the 5/4, IIRC, showed how to drop a lug wrench thru the hole in the bracket, loop a cable over it, using it to winch yourself out.

Same bracket used on the rear bumper to hold the shackles.
