OK so i swaped in this axle from my buddy, its a 1987 cherokee dana 30 with 4:10 gears. The axle has 1.25" wheel spacers and crager soft 8's and 37" mtr. I have extreme death wobble at anything about 5mph. I am going to replace the tie rod ends but i noticed that this what the axle looks like head on... what could cause this besides a bent axle?

Terrible balljoints, bearings, warped spindle, bent wheel, bent spacer, etc... just take it apart and see.

everything that he said, other than you having unit bearings rather than spindles ;)

jack up the front end and see if there is any top to bottom play in the tire. that is usually a good starting point. also check to make sure tie rod/control arms are all tight.

You swapped TO a dana 30? What did you give him?

Nothing.... i really just swapped in an 8.8 that had 4:10 gears and needed a front that matched...so i got that dana 30 for my old dana 30 with 3:55's. OK so i was looking at stuff today and noticed that about a quarter of the circumfrence of the rim is cover in weights more than an other tire/rim...so im going to swap that tire to the rear and see if that whats cauzing the scary death wobble about 5 mph.

oh and checked today tie rod ends and ball joints and they are all nice and tight with no play.....so im thinking on the smaller end..bent rim or bent spacer maybe caused by the could be out of balance tire shaking at 45mph that nearly flipped me..
