I would like to extend my utmost thanks and praise to the businesses that sponsored the URE FEST 2008. We have all worked very closely together to make this happen and you went for the gusto and really took full advantage of your opportunity to shine.
First on my list is N.O. Limit Offroad!
From the moment they signed up to the last minutes of the award ceremony, Nick and Owen embraced this event. They hung it out there for all to see what a fab shop should be. They not only build these amazing machines, they RAGE them and gave us a show we will NEVER forget. Nick pushed his rig so hard, he ripped the knuckle off his portal axel and kept going. When forward momentum ceased, Owen jumped out and RAN to the finish line! THEN, Owen absolutely CRUSHED the Rock Garden by becoming the first to summit the WALL which was deemed "impassable" & named it Childs Play 2. On Saturday Owen STOMPED the Mud Hole with his Flag flying high. As if that wasn't enough to get the crowd off their butts, he let his 9 year old son Owen stomp the Mud hole too!
Then they gave away an ENTIRE new custom built Chassis for the first place winner in D Class, WOW! N.O. Limits success is in their ability to show us all what this sport is about. They live it and breathe it. Thank you so much for exciting us all!

Extreme Machines had an amazing booth that drew EVERYONES attention. John Eller and his staff were a complete BLAST to be around. They embraced everyone that went past them. Everybody could hear their laughter and were enticed by it. They showed off their skills with the prettiest trucks out there! Then John threw caution and damage to the wind and threw his Bronco up the race course like a champ, proving that sexy and tough do belong in the same sentence. Nice work guys. Thanks for everything.

Galloway’s, oh thank you Galloway’s. Michelle and her boys were there in a pinch for me and a lot of others. She came prepared with everything you could need to fix your rig. My right front hub and outer shaft grenaded on the rock garden Friday night and I was up and running again Saturday! Please forgive me for forgetting your name but the guy that fixed my junk is now my hero! Galloway’s has been a long time favorite in these parts and now we know why. They are there for us when we need a hand. Thanks again.

Alpha 4wd, WHAT A RIG! Poor guys couldn't get out there b4 Saturday as they were working their butts off getting that amazing beast ready. Then they put on a sick show in the Mud Hole! Mike is a hard working son of gun and a true pleasure to work with. Thank you so much for your effort!

Low Key Customs are truly that... loooooow Key. These guys ARE as cool as they look. There combination of style and performance shined through. As a young and up and coming shop, these guys are emerging as real classy players. There sort of Teflon veneer helped them rock the Mud Hole and come out like a tide commercial. Thank you Corey, it's been a pleasure.

The real troopers out there were Armageddon Paintball. These guys came out and set up a kick butt field and display. They hung it out there to give us all something fun and different to do. They were not offroad related and not everyone understood their presence. Next year if you are lucky enough to have them back, I hope we show them a better effort. Thank you guys for your hard work and dedication.

Jeff and his crew @ Custom Built Racing videos were a true last minute surprise. They called me on Tuesday and were out there on Friday! We'd never met but had an idea that they could film the race/event. WOW, did they surprise everyone. They put cameras in the wackiest spots and collected over 80 gigs of film from the race. If you got a chance to see their booth they had plasma showing some of the best racing footage I have ever seen. Our race will live on and hopefully you will all be able to see it on TV! Thank you, you guys rocked.

MONSTER, mmmmmmm yum. I know a lot of us would still be sleeping if you weren't there... Rob and his peeps were great. Thanks.

Budweiser..... Enough said!

Thank you Johnny and Jacquie at URE Stables and all your staff. You worked tirelessly with constant enthusiasm. We met as business people and walked away friends. You both mean the world to me.

Thank you to the ranger station. Especially Debra and Tim. From the first time I brought you the Idea to the finish, you supported my dream. You were instrumental to this event. Thank you for all your hard work.

Thank you Mtn Market. Your food was AWSEOME, your service was top notch and you were energetic to till the end. You worked so hard so we all could stay on our feet!

Thank you again to all the Volunteers, to Dylan, Dale, Jacob (my BF from Portland and photographer) Nick and Liz (I love you guys) my Sister & my Mom who are always, always there for me but most of all, my Wife. If it wasn't for Lacey putting up with my dreams and supporting me when even I got down, this event would not have happened. Thank you darling, you're truly my EVERYTHING!

Putting a fundraiser together myself, I know how hard it is to get sponsors and support, especially for something new and unknown. You did a wonderful job pulling the sponsors together. Congratulations!!

Thank You Sean for allowing us to be a part of this event! We are so thrilled to have been there. Hopefully all the kinks can be worked out and next year will be an even bigger and better event! Thank you to everyone who took part in this years Uwharrie 4x4 Cross; vendors, racers, volunteers, and spectators. It couldn't have gone on without any of you!

Thank you nc4x4 for not deleting every thread that was started about this event & thus helping to promote it for the past six months or so.

^^^^Absolutely...this has been all over the board...many threads...many posts.

Thank you nc4x4 and all the moderators for your patience and a great forum full of great folks who care about the sport and will support events like this!

Cant wait for the next one. It was great meeting lots of new people and putting alot of faces to names! Everyone at LKC had a blast. Thanks for the chance to be there.

I missed a very important sponsor. Even though they were not able to set up a booth, The 4 Wheel Parts Raleigh Store was a crucial member of this event. Greg and his crew were there for us at every corner. I was able to lean on them in clutch situations. They gave it hell on the course and found out that FLYING was yet another one of Herbies talents! They were amazing at the awards ceremony giving away a great deal of prizes that was not required of them. But most of all, I feel as though I made some friends for life. these are truly a GREAT bunch of guys.... Thank you 4 Wheel Parts.

Snap-on and Pitbull Tires were also offsite sponsors and gave out amazing prizes, cheers to them!
