Back to PA I go.

I made that 560mile trip 5 times last year. Love it up there. Here is what it looked like Jan. '08
1-The Susquehanna River from a helicopter
2-Snow wheelin alone, in an 8k truck:shaking:
3-fine day to start a 9hr drive

Where are y'all headed in PA, my family has a house up in Forrest County (Tionesta, Oil City, Warren, German Hill area) off of HWY 666. Theres some good hunting up in that area.

It's just a long, boring drive. The fog from 77 til almost 79 was INSANE!! I couldn't see more than 20 feet in front of my Heep.

I'm up here for school.

Hscrugby - Yeah, PA does have mountains. Blairsville is in Western PA. There's just nothing like the Smoky Mountains though.

Pa has mtns too.
Also cold. And that awesome highway across it. :flipoff2:
My wife is from Pa, just outside of Pittsburgh, barely over the WVA line. (i tell her she's from WVA)

I've been going up there for ten years now, and they've been working on that one highway that goes into Pittsburgh the whole time...with no apparent change. The wife say's they've been working on it since she started driving.

Their roads SUCK. Especially with their sorry-ass snow removal crews.

It's funny...you can be on the WVA part of the road and it's clear as a bell, all the snow gone...and as soon as you hit the Pa state line, where the WV trucks turn around, you have to slow down and start creeping....not much better than when it snows in NC, to be honest.

PA roads do bring the suck. Where I'm from there are few roads more than a lane and a half wide and NO lines on the roads. The weather makes it very hard for the northern states to keep up.

The scenery through the Appalachians there is just as good as anywhere I've been.

Yes, the roads up here do suck. They've been "working" on US-22 since before I got up here and they've made NO progress at all. Lazy fucks. Southbound on I-85 in ATL was widened two or three lanes in under two years. Road work down south doesn't fuck around. It gets done.

Go away! We're full here... :flipoff2:

Don't worry. I'll be gone in June!!!

It's not TOO bad up here. My friends and I have found some VERY cool roads that are actually decent trails. Near powerlines though. I'm not sure how they are up here about driving on the powerline access roads though. I'll get pics soon and post them in one of the galleries. That is... if I can somehow manage to get sponsored.
