So the leaf springs are hitting the scrap pile in favor of FOX 2.0 Air shocks and the rear body also is cut away for some tube work. These are pics that are transfered from pirate4x4 but i will have new ones soon now that my football team is out of the playoffs and i dont have practice 6 days a week. Should have some real progress and soon as BTF gets off their butts and sends me my parts I have been waiting on for close to a month now. Normaly have great experience with Dan at BTF and even have been to his shop but seems that something is going on down there.

This is a little off topic but I figured yall would think this was cool. I made an Appleseed Biodiesel processor for my 12th grade senior exit project. Should be intresting to see what the judges grade me. Hopefully after the project is done i can start making a good amount of Biodiesel to test in our tractors and maybe run in my F350

That is going to be sweet sam but are you sure you wanted to saw the back off of that nice FJ?

Geez, did you ever take it out after the last strip down and rebuild? I guess you did something, the tires are somewhat dirty.

Looking forward to seeing more of the progress and more of you out on the trail.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!!

What WB are you shooting for? I'm looking around 107" on mine, since it seems like that would work pretty well, and I also have a D/S already made for it.. :p

sweet. that thing is aweful perty though. just put the sawzall away now, b/c if you are anything like me, i just keep cutting...

Mine started as a little rust removal...

austins scout was a rear suspension, all we have now is a firewall, seems to be a common thing.

Air shocks, and vegetable oil suck...don't use either of them!...

...what up Sam...

You ever get a Toyota flange made for that 14 bolt?

'Holla'

Poor Cruiser........

I have to say Staton, he did wheel for 3/4 of a day on the old set-up. I was there. He did break a t-case output shaft which kept him on the trailer for day 2....did i say that.

I would worry about keeping head gaskets in the Ford before i tried Bio-diesel......work travels fast.

I guess i will see you middle fo next month.

Seth

hahaha Seth, word does travel fast! But the head gaskets were covered under warrentee and the head studs were replaced with ARP studs so i cant complain much about it. Before i cut it I had 6 to 7 trips on the old setup but you know i get the "itch". Not much wheeling getting done during football season and all you pansys are working so dang much haha.

Will, i just ended up making a the 1350 joint work with my driveshaft. Seems to work ok and hasnt broken yet.

Rich, it is set up right now for 107". It was at 102" before i cut it and it was a tad short for me on the hill climbs. I would like 105-106" but to keep my upper links from being too short it has to atleast be 107".

You boys are almost making me feel bad telling me how good the cruiser looked.

And on a brighter note.......mac actualy DROVE his cherokee and cleaned up the other day! The rumor going around is that he may actualy fix his jeep and go wheeling someday.

I call BS on the sighting of mac within 50 feet of the jeep!
unless he was measuring for a baby seat?:flipoff2:

lookin good Sambo. You did wheel almost a full day on the other setup!

Dave you are just bad luck. Everytime you come around my junk breaks. At tellico it was the steering studs at harlan it was the output and bending the leafs. :shaking:

I will take pictures of Mac near his jeep next time it happens. I know alot of people need proof

you gonna lower the fj while youre at it? you know. belly draggin low is in this year!

I would love to find a way to lower the front a little bit more. Withe more weight on the front the steering almost hits the frame a full flex and i honestly would need a different type of leaf springs for the front. I am afraid if i pull another leaf out of the stock YJ pack that they will break alot easier.

Heck yea dude! Looking forward to it! Miss laughing at you and Adam rolling cherokees over and tighting bolts till they break off.

Sam & Mac are both great guys....even bought a truck off of them (sorry about that foot Sam, that jack must have hurt).

I'll gladly sponser Sam on his account if necessary......as will most who've met him.

Happy Thanksgiving guys!!

Just playing devil's advocate, but it is a privately owned forum.. SO yes, the mods / admins can do basically whatever they want.

I've been the loudest proponent of getting Mac & Sam back here, last I heard it was being worked on.
