Backhoe transport?

I picked up a backhoe recently to work on our property... Instead of selling when the yardwork is done I'd rather put it to work. I don't want to invest in a trailer and dump truck so....

Anyone here have the means to deliver to and from jobs in burke county fairly regularly?

2002 Cat 420D 16K lbs

How do you plan on having one without the other, I'd break down and buy a truck and trailer or sell the backhoe.

The way I plan... is to have someone drop off and then pick up when I'm done and take to next job. Friend of mine has a grading business and has someone else deliver his equipment to jobs. Says he spent to much time loading/unloading equipment and maintaining the trucks and trailers. Also says his transport fees are no more than the cost of his drivers weekly pay/insurance/maintenance...
No his delivery guy can't take on another client.

There's none of these jobs that you're going to need a truck to haul off stuff?

I have a friend to deliver dirt/rock and if he's busy most quarry's have someone to deliver. As far as hauling off stuff...I'm sure that can be arranged...maybe by whoever delivers my backhoe.

Most newer 1 ton trucks and gooseneck trailers will haul that. I have hauled over 25k on mine.

BTW I will pick it up any time you need it picked up. I promise to get it the next day or even possibly the same day. I will do this at no charge also. :D

Yeah...OK :)

Also just looked at specs and actual weight is right at 16K

If you get busy then you'll have to be able to haul it yourself. That doesn't mean that you need a tandem dump truck and have to start hauling materials all the time too. Get good at digging footings and you will stay busy.
