backlash on a dana 44

im putting some 5:13's in a 1978 ford bronco dana 44. does anybody know the backlash settings for this?

as I rember 8 to 12 thou. check in several places on the ring gear

I set all my gears at 8-9 thousands.

go to randy's ring & pinion web site, there is a chart there for all kinds of gears & their setup paramters.

Spec should be 6-10 on a HP44. we also set all of ours to 8-9.
