I have a 99 Tacoma with a 6" Fabtech lift and a 2" body lift. I'm looking at getting 38x15.50 Mud Grapplers. My 36x13.50s are about 1/2" away from rubbing the spindles. I have 16x10 Eagle alloys with supposedly 4.5" backspacing. Would I need to go with a wheel with more or less back spacing to stick the tires out further away from the spindle to fit 15.50s? Or possibly wheel spacers? I kinda want to stay away from spacers as much as possible though.

Luckly since you have a 99 you have some other options to help with this problem so that you dont have to use a wheel that sticks out rediculously far.

This solution should help so that you dont have to run something like a 2.5" or 3" backspaced wheel that will stick out really far on our styles of trucks. Im going with a spacer for the time being as a quick fix but will have these on my truck sometime in the near future.

My problem is the is that the tire will rub the huge freakin Fabtech spindle instead of the control arm because of the width of the tire.

I guess I'll see how it goes with a wheel with 4" BS. The ones I have now are 4.5". If I need to, I guess I can grind a lil on the huge freakin spindles.
