those who know me, know that hunting/fishing/4wheeling is my life. So when I scored this campsite, I had to share. This is Wagner Access Site #42 in the New River State Park. Its the best site there (as well as #41, but 41 isn't reservable), and I just happened into it. If you are familiar with the park, this is right at the big pool that is made where the two sections of river converge back after the initial island just past the put-in a the parking lot. oh yeah the bacon was BADASS. props to Kuntzler peppercorn thick sliced bacon, its the $hit!!! also the closest site to the showers and poopers for the ladies. super clean since they're only like 10 sites at the whole place.

smallmouth love a 2.5" or 3" black/gold original rapala. I have had as many as 15 with me at one time. I ask for them each year as stocking stuffers and WAIL the fish with them. I use nothing but them and do 80+ fish days at will, this time of year.
