Went to Greensboro today. I-85 south was closed down at 421, so had to dump onto the exit for 421S. Traffic was backed up on the ramp, so I was stopped right were a couple of cop cars had all lanes of 85 closed off. Don't know if it was for construction or a wreck, but they had all southbound lanes closed. A woman in a minivan pulls out of the exit line, and up to one of the cops. Animated discussion takes place. Lady cop points to the exit ramp several times. Driver is reaching out the window pointing down the closed section of road. Finally, driver just drives off, down the closed interstate. Cop just throws her arms up in exasperation. Other cop jumps in his car, and does a burnout taking off after her.

Wonder what that little episode is going to cost her?

No pics....my dash cam suction mount fell off the windshield a few miles earlier.
 
Probably about 15 years ago now we had the road blocked off because of a sink hole in the road. Marked cars with blue lights going, barricades , and us in reflective vests. This lady was determined to go thru. Even explaining it to her she takes off around us on the sidewalk and avoids our roadblock. We watched as she drove into the sink hole and almost disappeared. I had to laugh a little. Sometimes you just cant help retards.

Sometimes old folks too. The shop I work at is on a little dead end side street that ends at our parking lot. Just before our lot you can turn left into a strip mall parking lot that had an Aldi's. There used to be a hardee's on the corner lot just before that left, it sat a good 7 to 10 feet higher than the strip mall lot. Steep grass embankment from hardee's down to the strip mall lot.

One day someone found a pipe bomb in the Aldi's parking lot. Fayetteville PD, fire, etc shows up blocks off us401 in both directions, evacuates the strip mall lot and the Hardee's but not us for some reason. They put crime scene tape across the entrance by us.

While we stood watching the bomb robot cruising around, 3 different buicks or crown vice drove under the yellow tape, it flexed up across the hoods and windshields on each, with firemen chasing after them. One old guy was bitching that he didn't care about no bomb, he needed milk from Aldi.

The FD parked their engine across the entrance and not 5 minutes later an old guy nearly rolled his crown vic, side hilling on the grass behind Hardee's after jumping the curb to go past the fire engine.
