Just wanted to relay a few recent experiences here...

UNCC Civilengineer - Good seller. He kept in constant communication, and kept me informed with status updates.

tsmall07 - good buyer. Despite getting fucked over by a buyer to be listed below, he stayed friendly, showed up when he said he would, and also kept in touch.

1stGenXXX... Bad buyer.

He was to buy my beadlocks, which had the tires still mounted. The deal was, $450 if I have to break the tires off, $400 if you do. Since the buyer for the tires is at VA Tech, I put the 2 of them in touch.

tsmall was going to pickup the 5 wheels and tires, go up to meet 1stGen up near Lenoir or that area, and have the tires removed from the wheels there. 1stGen was to send me payment for the wheels in advance... This was all agreed upon a week in advance, and was to happen Saturday 1/13.

A few days prior, I hadn't gotten any payment, and didn't want the guy from VA to come down and not be able to give him the tires, so I called, and left several (I think 3) voicemails for Jeff (1stGen).. no reply. I finally called Friday night 1/12 and said "If you're backing out, whatever, but you NEED to communicate with people and let them know".. Nothing.

I STILL have not heard from him, though he's been on the board, and hasn't replied to my PM's.

1stGen (Jeff), you need a serious lesson in buying/selling etiquette. Not only did you waste hours of my time, but the time of the guy from VA as well. I gave you the opportunity to back out gracefully, all you had to do was call back. 30 seconds. DO NOT commit to something you can't follow through with.
 
Hmm he was supposed to come by sat to grab some tires from me as well, he was always strait forward and nice on the phone, and messages and communicated with me good untill this weekend, maybe something came up :confused:

he does need to let us know if something is going wrong thou, lets let him reply maybe something did happen thats a good excuse.
 
IMO, there is no excuse for not replying if you have time to get on a message board and make a post. If you're not on the board at all, fine... but that's not the case.

jeff is allways stright up when i have delt with him and would recomend him as a buyer or seller to anyone. im sure this insident was just a misunderstanding or lack of communication.
no need to bad mouth him. he's a pretty cool guy:fuck-you:

What's to misunderstand about not returning phone calls and IM's? This isn't the first I've heard about people having issues with him, but I'm gonna stick to *my* situation.

Lack of communication IS the reason... But there was absolutely nothing to misunderstand.

P.S. I'm not "badmouthing" him. I'm stating facts as they related to the sale. If it looks bad, well, that's because that's the situation.

And he was always cool and friendly when we talked, right up to where he stopped communicating. (Even when he called on a weeknight at 11pm)
 
Bought great from Jeff B., jjraw23, Kermit, JPScout.

Sold great to doc and a couple others I forget.

I have a cash in hand policy. First one with cash wins, PERIOD. I will only hold for a friend not a mere acquaintence.

Bought/sold w/ several guys on here & not a problem one.

I guess I've been lucky....just try to treat everyone fair & keep my promises.
 
Wow , I have no idea how many guys here I have delt with. All a good group of guys.

On that I would like to ask the guy who bought the axles, tires, and fenders for a small trailer to get in touch with me. I have no idea who it was, but you paid for them, wish you would come pick them up
 
btw to all Jeff just called me, his roomate had taken his phone charger and left for the weekend and his phone died so he had no way to make the calls . . . sounds pretty legit to me, we got everything worked out, I didn't think he was bein a bad buyer, hopefully He will get everything sorted out with you as well Rich :beer:
 
OK so the cell is dead, and that's where the number is stored. He could have got on here and contacted Rich, or called someone to do it for him. Last I heard many other phones out there other than cells.

He was on the board, it would have been hella easy to reply to a PM...

BTW Good experiences...
Rich, Tacoma747, ncflatfender, and Ricky was exceedingly cool after I Pm'd him that I had the Tcase he needed and then was out of town the entire next week....I was the asshat there, but I did keep in touch...

Yea talk about a bad seller . . . lol just kidding, we got a tcase before time ran out so thats all that matters :beer:

i've had several good experiences with guys here, 66bronco, firetoy, farmboy, the list goes on.

the only issue i have had is someone jumping in on a post to "mention" that they have the same thing for sale as i do and they want less for it. i won't name anyone but thats pretty frustrating. I would never intentionally ask more than a reasonable price for something but when someone tries to underbid you in the middle of a post it can get ugly.

what haven't you understood about he has been on the board? it's very easy to tell if someone has logged in by looking at their profile. that or someone else has used his name.

isn't this the same guy that was bitching about a title issue or something a while back and made some false claims about the truck? all when he bought the truck without a title in the first place, and it only turned out to be the seller was waiting for the title to come back in his name? then ended up getting called out for some shady deals of his own?
 
If the cell was dead, he also could call his OWN cell phone number from any phone in the world and retrieve his messages off the voice mail. If he had, he would have heard me give both my cell and home numbers, more than once I believe.

People that are impossible to get in touch with, i.e. don't return PM's or emails!
 
Stone is a lazy worthless Fawk :flipoff2: He kept forgetting to send me a check b/c he claimed he was to busy to waddle to the mailbox to put it in but he kept in touch. No biggie I got it.

Lee is a good one. Kept trying to give me more chit than I needed for the drive home.
 
that :fuck-you: ricky kid is about as worthless as they come. i mean i told the kid i needed a steering box. instead of goin home and gettin it he puts my entire front axle together for me while i was in class. all i was looking forward to after class was puttin my front axle together. in the time it took him to do that he could have gone to charlotte and come back. i swear some people are down right sorry... i know i have probably upset a few people about sellin/buying stuff, but being in college for some reason takes all your spare money.

end the end i got that damn steering box so it was all good
