Just got in and saw a real bad Jeep wreck on 26 between Asheville and Hendersonville.

Black Cj7 turned an side and looked like oncoming traffic went bumper first into roll bar. Roll bar touching driver seat, steering wheel through windshield.

I saw the remnants after sitting for over an hour, scariest part was the dark green rectangle on the tailgate. Maybe I saw it wrong....

Anyone know who?

Im afraid it wont have a good ending.

Tramatic arrest... doesn't sound good.... but he was airlifted to another hospital which means the pt had a viable heartbeat

Man dies following car wreck

Times-News staff report

A Hendersonville man died Friday after sustaining injuries in a motor vehicle accident on I-26 west.

Gregory Schleicher, 27, was airlifted from the scene by MAMA to Mission Hospitals on Friday afternoon after the 1978 Jeep Wrangler he was riding in flipped over after crossing the median.

Bryan Lee McMurray was driving the Jeep on I-26 West, near Clear Creek bridge, on Friday afternoon. He slowed with traffic and was struck from behind by a 2004 Dodge pick-up, driven by Ralph Wayne Hawkins, according to Sgt. C.R. Jones. The Jeep was forced over the median, where it began to roll.

Highway Patrol trooper Kevin Dale is investigating the accident and charges are pending.

Hawkins sustained no injuries. McMurray was also flown to Mission Hospitals, but was in stable condition

I don't know the driver, but the Schleicher family goes to my church, and we were told about Greg yesterday during the service. Very sad...
