Bad semi rollover

I so called that...When the vid started, I said "looks like its going ok, oh shit, I bet the trucks still in gear!" Too bad the guy was running away and didn't get to film the whole thing.

So, they never checked to make sure it was in park?
Seems like an innocent enough mistake I guess. It wasn't moving when the driver got out, so it was "secured", hehe.

All in all, it could have probably been a whole lot worse considering the amount of cars and people around.

just the opposite,it was out of gear.
trucks don't have park.
and brakes had not been set
loader operator just watched as it rolled away.
all adds up to craxy video.

There was a 2nd bucket loader behind the truck that could have easily been used to chain to the truck.
OR
The bucket driver could have driven into the trailer and likly stopped it..

my .02

or once the air was out of the system, or pull the air lines from the trailor and cab, the brakes will automatically lock up. I call BS.

i call they were just doing a job i don't think i would have done anything different. its just one of those things that happen when your trying to clear a road, that looks like it was fairly well traveled. but i bet they make sure they have it secured now

Good point. A truck that size and age would certainly have air brakes, and when the brakes or any part of the system fails, they fail to full braking power...
