I work in Claremont, was off last night, but have heard that a wall fell in the cable plant part and that the substation we get our power from blew up. Not sure if we will even work tonight or not.

Claremont looks like Godzilla came through, Pierre Foods, Draka, and some furniture plant have some damage. Hwy 70 is shut down they are using the school as a relief center today. We lost power last night for 30 sec. the the back-ups kicked in, Commscope was the only lights in that part of the county last night.

Man looks like Round 2 on the weather map right now, same area as last night.

I'm getting HAMMERED with pouring rain and high wind right now. Wait a minute. It just stopped like someone flipped a switch. Freaky.

Just heard on the radio that a tornado was spotted 5 miles SE of Roxboro... Person, Granville County peeps be safe.

Tarp blew off the jeep, I have about 6 inches of water in the floors now. Time to get out the shop vack. Still havnt found the tarp.

Wouldn't mind seeing a big boomer of a storm here ,if they can make their way this far east!!!!!

Dang, we've been real fortunate up here in the foothills. Two storms in one week, both just missed us. I'll bet the Flats is nice n muddy. Hope everyone is ok, if not I'm sure there's some good people on here ready to pitch in...

Yeah, the worst of it passed over me about half an hour ago. We're in the clear now.

Spent most of teh evening on the west end last night, we havent had any calls so far today. hope it stays that way and everyone stays safe

Good luck to everyone tonight, just talked to a friend of mine near the VA line who said it is supposed to get crazy out there.

Stay safe folks.

Pull the drain plugs, open the doors and just wait, it's dry.
If teh plugs aren't in te hright places - get out the drill.

Glad to see most got out alright. I have an apartment here in Johnson City where I go to school at ETSU. Woke up Monday morning to some wild winds here. Knock out power to this side of the city all day and classes were canceled. Power was out four about 24 hours. Nothing as bad as what I hear happened else where.

I live in Claremont and the Tornado Tuesday evening went thru a residential area and industrial park. Turned over multiple tractor trailers, out buildings blown away, lots of huge trees down and the strangest thing...graveyard had multiple head stones (2000 + lbs) knocked over right beside some graves that still had the flowers on them.

I was lucky and only out of power for a day.

Holy bajeezus...I had a PR event last night in Charlotte, got outta there at about 8:30, had barely gotten into the car and bottom fell out. Drove home to Salisbury, and could barely see 20 feet in front of the car. The windshield wipers just couldn't keep up, and the wind was downright ferocious.

I hope no one got hurt, and damage is minimal.

It's been a hell of ride these past 2 days.
I'm in Forsyth County, Clemmons area and we were under a Tornado Warning two times within 24 hours.
Yesterday was a close call, heavy rotation about 5 miles North of my house. The sky was wicked looking! Not sure if there was a confirmed Tornado though.
I'll get back and post some links from the National Weather Service to see all the confirmed Tornadoes.
Hope everyone is ok.
