Got ready to pull the axle and it has this funky seal thing made on to the outer axle shaft where it enters the Knucle. Is this seal able to be taken out without detroying it?

it looks like a metale disk made on to the axle and it seals against something else that is pressed into the knuckle.

It might be a stone guard to keep larger material out of the seal. Is there a seal in the end of the axle tube? (Like a oil seal).

Pull the outer metal ring off it with a screwdriver, use it like a mini-prybar. then the axle will slide out with the rest of the rubber portion. put it back in in reverse order.
