Anyone on here work there? I am staying at the Residence Inn next door for a long term project and I see a Wrangler with flat fenders and some other mods parked next to there all the time. There are also a couple hopped up Cherokee's I see there. Was just wondering if it's anyone on here's stuff.

Man cool, When the weather gets better I am thinking of driving the YJ down. What's the closest place to here to wheel, I just assumed URE ? When the project gets busy, sometimes I am here over the weekend and it'd be nice to take my mind off the project for a Sunday.

Yeah URE is the closest, not but about 45 min to an hour away. Then there's Gulches Offroad park about 2 hrs south. Theres a new place that has opened up about 30 min down I77 called The Compound, but haven't heard much about it.

What Project are you working on? Construction? There are a lot of mall crawlers in this area.

MetLife is moving their entire call center here. I am doing the technology part of 15 floors. Lot's of TV's, Video Conferencing, speakers,mics,projector's/screens and such. It's in the main Ballantyne corporate park, right off Ballantyne Corporate Parkway and Community House Rd. It's a huge project.Lot's of folk's moving down here from NYC. All that being said, I've never been to the gulches or even heard of the compound. It might be worth checking out while I am in the area.

Yep, Met Life was a big deal to the area. I know the exact building you are talking about. Drive by it every day almost. I don't think the compound has a lot going for it yet. Ive never been to Gulches either but Im almost certain some on here have and the pics on there website look interesting. Hoping to have my junk finished by this summer so I can get back into it. I'd tell ya to come on by and have a beer and talk jeep but we are going to be moving this weekend. Maybe once we get settled in, We're only moving about 5 miles away....

Unlike the majority of the trades on that site, I work directly for MetLife,I deal with their top people all the time. Let me know if you need any Jeep help man, I am pretty handy with a set of wrenches or ratchet. I get bored all to hell sitting in my hotel suite at night, even if just say I borrowed a massive TV from the site and hooked an Xbox to it, TV just isn't my thing. I have an automotive degree and have worked in several shops. Being an A/V Supervisor just pays better I hate to say, If I could I'd own a 4x4 shop or fix up old cars for a living.
