Ok I keep 99.9% of all the ECORS chat to the ECORS section.
The owner of this forum has been very good to me and Rob and asked that we talk there so as not to take over this forum with our massive awesomeness (sarcasm meter should be high on this) but every now and then something comes up that I want to make sure EVERYONE READS.

So even if you think racing is stupid, or you don't even know what ECORS is...I want everyone to see this.

As most know on April 30, 2011 the East Coast Offroad Racing Series will make our first trip to Alabama and visit the Great American Park for some Bama Style racing. Well a few weeks ago Rob and I were down there meeting with the park owner and discussing the coming race and talking business. In a brief side discussion Rob was talking about our vision, and he said one day we hope to have TV camera crews fighting for position and one of those sweet F1 style crosswalks for a start/finish line. We all laughed and carried on with business as usual. Well, earlier today Rob and I both received an email from John Glass the owner of the Great American Park.... he said "I cant do anything about the fighting TV camera crews but how do you like this start/finish line?"

Guys this is a man who is dedicated to our sport. He has literally poured his heart, soul, time, money and future into making this park a reality. With that in mind...if you have the ability visit the GAP please. I dont care if you can't make it to the race...if you can we would love to have you....but if not support the GAP, John, his family and our hobby in general. He needs it, he deserves it, and with the writing on the wall for the future of off road trail riding, we have to find private land to ride...here it is...help keep it open.

Please don't make me drive my pile through that! I will for sure hit a pole with my record.

In all seriousness, that is pure awesomeness! What a guy, I will be shaking his hand with a huge thank you. It takes men and women like him to make it possible for us to race and put on a show. WOW, I can't wait to light up the tires in 2 weeks. I already have the jitters

That's awesome. I can't wait.

For anybody that's going to be stuck at home the weekend of the race, we'll have live streaming coverage here on NC4x4 of all the day's events.

thanks for the breaking news.
:bounce2::bounce2::bounce2:

BTW full verizon signal throughout the park

I've got two air cards at the moment... but will gladly borrow any additional ones I can get my hands on. It takes just shy of a GB of data for us to stream all day long.

Of course, the more cameras, the better.

I will have a laptop with an inbedded cell card. if it can be kept out of the elements you are welcome to use it.

BTW thanks for all you guys do.
Where are you staying?

I've got a couple of sweet ass sleeping bags. I figured we could rough it.

I've been trying to make a deal on a trailer, but it hasn't happened yet. Unless something falls in my lap in the next week or so, we'll be at the Hampton.

Any sleeping bags with a built in nursing pouch?

If my driod Thethered will be fast enough, you then have 3!!!!...
WOW is all I can say about this. Hard to beleive that this has grown from just us few racer gathering at Mt City to have some fun.....

In addition to the hospitality and hard work of John, we will be on Eagle Eye TV on Thursday night, 10pm Eastern time.

Live broadcasting on Thursday night before the race. www.eagleeyetv.com Actually, they are broadcasting right now :D

And, anyone that will be in town then, come on and join us. They will be broadcasting outside with my buggy and us there, the more that show up the better. It'll be kind of like the Today Show!

And, John is first class! He has been working really hard for us. Lets make him feel good about his dedication!

No need to...John added a photographer deck today :bounce2::bounce2::bounce2:..
Oh yeah did I mention he is running power out there so we don't have noisy generators around the PA system...

I will make it happen.....just don't make sara watch her least favorite uncle plunge to an untimely demise.

It's cool... I'm pretty sure she can't see that far yet.
