Barnes 4WD Heavy Duty Axle Trusses

Unlike the common trusses that have only one piece of bent steel that has to be tied into the differential cover to make it suitable for use, our trusses are made from 100,000 tensile strength 1/4" and 3/16” steel. This increases the welding surface area of the truss on your axle tubes, distributing the load, and making them incredibly strong and as light as possible. The main hoop of the truss also has two bent flanges that face down to give it a boxed design and add structural rigidity. Through our testing in SolidWorks (computer load testing program), we decided not to add any unnecessary material to the top of the truss. If you add more material to the top, it’s harder to keep the rig low to achieve a low center of gravity. This truss system was designed on our state of the art 3D CAD software, laser cut, and bent with a CNC Press Brake.
