After seeing big clays thread about a fuse box and wirring. I've decide that I want to try get on top of mine before It becomes an issue. The problem is that I'm a wildlife bio student with no clue on how to properly wire things. I know always use a fuse and the correct gauge of wire. So I'm trying to figure out how to wire a light bar and cb through the fuse box.
Right now my light bar is wired directly off of the battery and has a fuse and a relay and a push button switch.
My cb is wired into one of my cigarette lighters that only has power when the vehicle is on. I would like to be able to have it on when the vehicle is off. And be able to use the cigarette lighter port again.
I know I could possibly find all of this on Google but I don't know for sure if their methods are tried and true. I also can't ask questions like I can here.
Also what gauge of wiring would be best for each?
