My wife wants a new vanity top in our bathroom and ours if 35" wide the only ones I can find are 31 or 37" wide so my question is can you cut one down or will I have to order the correct size. Also I thought I could use a fine tooth blade and cut 1" off both sides to center the sink. The vanity has walls on both sides so a smaller one wont look right and a bigger one wont fit. But if someone has one that they want to get rid of let me know so I could try cutting on one before I buy one to find out if it will work or not.

Thanks
Brandon

im getting rid of mine, but its porcelain, no help to you i guess.

What color are you looking for? I replaced the countertops in my kitchen, and it's not that hard if you're handy with a router and have some fairly basic woodworking skills. I've got the tools here you could borrow, and I think I've got enough scrap formica to get the job done. If you want to come by sometime and see what I did to do mine, you're welcome to.

Thanks

Go to sLowes and have it ordered... the Web-Don "factory" is over off of Germanton Rd. across from Cooks.

My wife went and looked at the ones they have but to order the size we need it is like 125 more to get it make to your size

I'll see if I can't get pics tonight. I like it, though. Dark blue with red oak edging. And it was easy! There's a salvage store next to 109 U-Pull-It that has lengths of the pre-fab counter top with the rolled edge and backsplash fairly cheap, and they'll cut it to your length for not much. All you'd have to do is cut the hole for your sink and screw it down. Habitat Re-Store also has a good selection of pre-fabs and formica scraps, if you want to check them out.

I dunno, IMO $125 in the scope of bathroom remodeling is a pretty small drop in the bucket.
you might want to compare that to the time/effort/personal cost of having to modify something yourself. Depending of course on what Mark has on hand.

It was 125 more for the top to have one made 2" shorter I just dont see spending 125 more to get less

I just had to order two vanity tops that are a custom size, they are 42"x22". I ordered them at Lowe's. They advertise a two week turn around, but after I ordered they said it would be four weeks. They were just over $300 each.
