After my last ride this weekend to Mnt City, I know for sure I am having battery issues. I am running out of power way to quick, since I am running three red tops Optima's. Not sure if it's one bad battery or all three, it's not easy pulling them all out, but just trying to be ready when I do.

If I replace one, two or all three, I just want to be prepared.
My current set up is so I can disconnect two of them, to run my welder. The biggest issue I have is that Optima's do not like a fast charge. But I went with them because of the fact that they do not leak when and if I am on my side.

Do the make a standard battery that is sealed against leakage?
I know there are other gel cell battery's, what are the brand names, and where can they be bought?

I really want to stay with thee battery's, but if I had real good battery's that would charge back quick, I might consider just using two.

There it it, help me out guys.

i ran a pro comp gel for 5!...... five years before it took a dump for good, four wheel parts has them i think i brought it back from the dead at least 4 times cause i didnt drive the truck much might be an option?..

Are you running an alternator at all? Im not certain, but I feel like three red top Optimas should run all day.

Go on Interstate Batteries Web site, I used them at work for Batteries, If its made they have it, Might be able to see whats out there.
x2 on the interstate batteries I don't know if they make a sealed one , but that's all I'll run on my boat. Do a search on google on the red top review, not too impressive, but I've never used one ,almost bought one and the auto parts man talked me out of it and one reason was the damage by fast charging, he said they needed a trickle chg. my 2cents!

I checked Napa's website and all they showed was Optimas. The one I'm talkin about is made by Exide and is called a Orbital.

I was told they droped the orbitals. I just installed the AGM from Orielys and so far it has proven up the the task of winching in the TJ. After several pulls to get people out of the ditch and a pretty lengthy pull at MTN City I will be running on in the buggy also. The can be also have a split in the case and not leak and work just as an Optima.

The agm batterys are good stuff, ive read good things bout the oreilly one, deka makes it, iirc.

I think optima's qc went out the door, they just don't seem to be what they used to be.

saw a consumer reports article that ranked kirkland signiture (costco brand) batteries as the 2nd or 3rd best out of every battery they tested. I got on with 875 cca for only $62.... its been working great.
