Helping a friend put a 460 in a 70s truck.
He purchasd a crate motor, when we went to put it in this week I noticed there is a "hole" in the back of either head.
First thought was it just needed a freeze plug to block off each hole.
It will take an 11/16" plug so far have had no luck sourcing this. Then he was told today there is some crossover tube that is required for the engine to run.
Anyone have any info or help here?
What was the factory use?
Is it a coolant crossover or a vacuum pressure balance set-up?
Can it be blocked?
If so anyone know of a source for an 11/16" freeze plug?
Thanks in advance.
