Be careful!

A customer that hangs around the shop was just talking about this this morning. Shame that it still happens. It makes me wonder if ether or a cheetah was involved.

I seen on fb theu were thinking the rim must have had a crack in it already or something. Idk if he was just airing up or using ether

I've used a cheetah a bunch. In my experience it never put a lot of pressure in the tire, just a large volume to ballon it. You always had to add plenty more to get to operating psi.

I am sure that a stubborn bead that won't pop on the rim could blow one apart if you got the psi too high. I bet that typically has to be very high though, or you would see this happen more often.

It says in the story posted they think the rim was cracked. I dont always do it but I try to stand to the side when airing up my tires.

Remember kids, lube your beads before trying to mount.
