Here I am with another one....... Best/Cheapest/Easiest camping on or NEAR the beach in NC. Car camping not 4wd. At best AWD camping. Somewhere to hit on the weekend for a couple days. Help me please!

Oregon Inlet is a personal favorite. Tent camping with decent bath houses on one side, campers/RV’s with hookups on the other. I’ve only ever tent camped there, and I think they’re up to $20/night these days. Wake up, walk about 200-300yds across the dunes and you’re in the surf.

So consider me the party pooper but who wants to camp at this time of year with sand and salt water in all the nooks and crannies while sweating your crannie off. Guess I just can’t wrap my head around it and sounds absolutley not enjoyable but hey, Salt Life Bro!
I can handle the heat, salt, and sand. It’s the sand fleas/no seeums that drive me crazy

I like cape lookout. ( Davis Island) U just have to book a ferry to get cross. Don't forget u have to have a driving permit. The light house is on the south end. Also great fishing. If u are into that.
