They won't make it past the main drag. Too much food to eat.

So I had planned this for a few years just never got the chance to do it. these little green army men sat in my closet awaiting deployment for about 3 years.

in my head this battle was going to be much more elaborate with bunkers, trenches and other realistic features. However just like any invasion, things didn't go as planned. It was Green vs. Tan. Tan was defending the beach head and green invading from the sea.

Tan was severely outnumbered, Plans to dig in had been scrapped by the tide rolling in too fast for them to get set up. The scene had to be moved up the beach numerous times to keep all from being swept away as the tide moved in. This left Tan outnumbered and out in the open.

Green advanced in waves. Moving forward in groups of 6-12 they made their landing and prepared to take the beach. Intentions were to film and move groups ahead and film again. As mentioned earlier I had to adapt and improvise to accommodate mother nature So all I got was one large layout and few shots from varying angles.

So the two players I brought to the battle were Green and Tan. Apparently this violated some international plastic army man treaty somewhere because a third player showed up. Air support arrived in the form of a small flock of seagulls, who seemed to take notes from the A-10 warthog pilots. They would glide in low and slow and snatch men off the field of battle. If you look at the pics you will see men laying on the ground, casualties of a swooping run. A stroll down the beach the next day gave way to evidence that the seagulls found the army men to be inedible, as bodies would turn up in the sand. I was a bit amused to see the after math of the battle the next day. I didn't expect to see bodies washing up on shore. Again, in my head I had planned a clean exit strategy, (leaving no man behind....littering is illegal) but the seagulls and tide had seen to it my plans were thoroughly dashed.

Anyway, it was a fun shoot. I want to go bigger next time with more soldiers and actually get the trenches and bunkers dug.

What beach is this that has no people in the picture?
