ive talk to a few people and ive got mixed reviews on this is it worth the money to spend on the bbs does it work and one who has it in there tires let me know how well it works or if it even works at all i am planning on using airsoft bbs they weigh .20 grams each im going to put 10 to 12 oz in each tire

i dont know how that stuff works. i have also wondered the same thing you do. i have never hear of any one using air soft bbs. but my buddy was telling me about these sand bags that were about 20 bucks a pop. said they go in the tire and they will bust and the sand sticks some how to the spots that need balancing??? idk that just what i was told, o and how did you come up with the weight you are going to put in

I had about half a large can of the hevishot airsoft bb's in a set of 37x14.00 Iroks and it seemed to work great. Then again, my 39.5 Rockers have no balance media at all, and ride almost as good as my 305/70R16 Nittos.

325/85r16 or 38.5x13ish on 16x10 rockcrawlers with 14oz in each. Works great for me especially cause my tires alone weigh more than 110 lbs each. I have steering or ball joint issue on the drivers side that cause vibrations at 50 mph.

pros
-still balances tires if the tire slips on rim
-easy way to balance big tires
-constant balance could provide beter balance
-no external weights to get knocked off or scratch rims
-plastic is better than lead for the enviroment

cons
-shimmy if beads move around after impact (quickly regain balance)
-noise at 1mph when the beads fall (i like it so it could be a pro)
-metal (copper coated) BBs can rust
-harder bbs could damage rim and cause rust

yea its right below this one but i was just wanting to know how many people have done it and what size tires and how well it worked

I've done it...in 37x13x16.5 Boggers (10oz), 37x12.5x16.5 SSR's (10oz), 35x14.5x16.5 SSR's (10oz) and 35x12.5x15 BFG MT's (8oz)...it worked as well as lead or stick on weights. Only thing is you might hear the bb's plinking around at 5mph or less...which really isn't an issue with the roar of an Interco tire. I mainly like it because it cleans up the appearance of the tire and you don't have to worry about throwing/ripping off weights.

how do you know how much weight to put in them i have 33.12.50r15 rough country mt and the tire place cant get them balanced

The thread that hyperlite linked to has a link in it that states how many ounces you should use...probably something in the 6-8oz range.

I've balanced a lot of tires with a 50-50 blend of antifreeze and water. 37X13.00 Boggers on steel beadlocks, Works perfect every time, about a pint will do this size. This is a old tracter+trailer trick before it was possible to balance these tires, and before radials were made for big trucks. I hauled produce out of southern california years ago and this is where I picked up on this. No matter if you gouge a big chunk of rubber off your trail tires, they always stay balanced! If nobody can get a 33" radial to balance you may have a bad tire or wheel.
