anybody tried the STAZWORKS DOUBLE BEADLOCK WHEELS ?
im getting ready to buy some 16.5 x 12 wheels. i would like to buy some double beadlock. or some rock city beadlock wheels. i think rock city only comes in an outer beadlock. either way i really dont care as long as the wheel will balance out and i can run around 12 to 15 psi on the 16.5 and retain the bead from breaking down. i will be driving some on the street . just local. thanks.

IIRC, both Joel & Greg are running the Stazworks double locks. I believe they only supply the pneumatic locks that fit inside YOUR existing rims.

Robs DYI beadlocks also have to be welded to your existing rims (unless he's offering a package now?)

Either way, you'll need a set of rims to start with...

we run the Staun internal double beadlocks...

the Stazworks are double beadlock rims...

Greg

With 16.5" rims, you need the double beadlocks. The inner pops off waaay too easily.

Didn't you have a set of hummer beadlocks and tires for sale, or am I thinking of someone else? I think a set of recentered hummer wheels is your best bet. I've heard Stazworks can take a couple of months or more to get wheels from.

if you get stazworks, make sure to request the 2-piece inner plastic rings

makes install real easy since you can move them separately

yes i already sold them. i wanted a wider wheel. thanks.

Yeah, my beadlocks are only outers. The only double beadlocks I'm working on are the H1 double beadlocks, which may be too narrow for you.

I've seen both the Stazworks and 6x6 double beadlocks and both of them look good. I think the Stazworks customer service is better, from what I've heard...

thanks rob. its just with the 16.5 tire i really want the double beadlock. if it wasnt for that , i would have no doubt as to buy your wheels. youve been a great big help talking over the phone about the wheels. thanks .

Like Greg said, I am also running the Stauns with CRS rock rings. I love em so far (only had them out twice). They are much cheaper than the mechanical double beadlocks and I don't have torque elventybillion bolts on each wheel. They balanced fine as well. The only thing about them that worries me is the potential chance of getting crap in the bead but so far so good. And I do use my Heep as a daily driver.
