ive heard its not legal, but does anybody run beadlocks on the road? i drive my runner on the road every now and then and i want beadlocks, but im not sure how they will ride. i have bias TSL SX's, so they're out of balance anyways, i just wonder how hard it would be to get the tire centered on the beadlock. ive never ran beadlocks, so any info or advice would be great.

I have not heard of anyone getting a ticket for beadlocks. With all the simulated wheels out there, i can't imagine anyone even noticing. I welded my own bead locks and mounted my own tires. I do not have any issues at 65mph on the highway with 39.5 Iroks.

Depends on if the wheel is DOT stamped. Some manufacturers do, some don't. I doubt most cops even know the laws about beadlocks... and if they do, I highly doubt that one would want you to disassemble the tire and wheel to check if it was DOT stamped.

I know people that run beadlocks on the road with no issues. That being said, I do know that H1 beadlocks are DOT stamped (I guess the military wanted to keep themselves in check with the law...), but I doubt you will have any trouble with them.

thanks. im not really worried about the law, more about how they will ride on the road
